If you want to see Sex and the City � The Movie, or the latest Indiana Jones, you will have to drive to the Cineplex and buy a ticket. Your other option is to wait for blockbusters to be shown on cable pay-per-view or released for sale on DVD�s. Typically, hit movies take several months (after leaving theaters) before they show up on cable. Then, it is usually a couple of more months before the DVDs are available for purchase. If there is a movie you just cannot wait to see, it might be worth the high price of admission; otherwise, waiting a bit is a good way to go. Some older films, on which copyrights have expired, are also available for free download at Moviesonline.com You are likely to find a number of good, high-quality films and documentaries that you will enjoy. There are other movie download sites that do offer free trial periods. Vongo.com offers a fourteen-day free trial period. During that time you can download as many movies as you like. They will not be the very latest movies, but more likely movies that have been out of theaters for a few years. After the trial period expires, Vongo.com charges a $9.99 fee per month. CinemaNow is a very interesting site. Here, you can buy movie DVDs or rent via download. You pay a nominal fee (about $4 per movie) to download the movie to your computer. The quality tends to be very good and CinemaNow has many pretty current titles available. Yes, you can rent from Netflix (or other online movie mail-order sites) but you still have to wait a day or two for delivery. Even the longest movies can be downloaded from CinemaNow in about one hour or one hour and a half � depending on the speed of your internet connection.
