The hand rankings which are considered as highest to lowest are; five of a kind, straight flushes, flushes, four of a kind, full house, flush, three of a kind, two pair, one pair, high card. When two players have the same ranks then the tie break depends on the type of the hand. In such situation, the straight flushes, flushes, straights and nothing, the hand with highest card wins. For example, if two players have hands such as Q-J-10-9-8 and J-10-9-8-7, then the former will beat the later because of the high card Q. In this case it would also beat the sequence 5-4-3-2-A as the ace here is used as a low card. When the tie is in between high cards, the second highest cards are compared and it will continue downwards.
