The purpose of a stadium is very clear. Normally a match, a tournament or in a bigger way a series of sports events like the Olympics, the World Cups are held over here. Then what is the need of a wheelchair in the stadium? Very likely why should there be a wheelchair lift in the stadium? Has the particular game been organized for the disabled? No. So what then? Actually among those who are going to come and see the match, a few are disabled and they will have to get their seats in the gallery by moving on the wheelchairs. Again on the opening and closing ceremonies there are programs and celebrations. In these programs every time a few participants are physically challenged and they ride on wheelchairs. Therefore for helping out those performers and visitors wheelchair lifts are important and have to be placed in the stadium. Wheelchair lifts in the stadiums for temporary use A wheelchair lift in the stadium cannot be given a permanent position. Any sort of interference in the main ground has to be avoided for the sake of the game. So when the galleries are constructed, a specific space cannot be fixed for the wheelchair lift. The lift should have movable properties and can be easily carried from one location of the stadium to the other. Now you cannot afford to get another machine that will lift the wheelchair lift to different positions. Therefore the wheelchair lifts should be able to roll on its own if dragged or pulled on both the grassy and concrete floors of the stadium. The lift should retain this smooth mobility throughout the year in all seasons and climates. Power behind movement of wheelchair lifts in stadium The wheelchair lifts mainly used in the stadiums have two set of wheels fixed to the lifts. The bigger wheels are mainly adjusted for the movement on uneven and rough surfaces and the normal sized wheels are meant for the concrete and smooth surfaces. The lifts have option to be run with the battery power or also through electricity. But in such systems the mobility is frequently hampered. The best power to drive the wheelchair lift is manual force. Therefore light weighted lifts almost weighing 250-260 pounds are better to be moved all around the stadium without any hassle. Pull it to any direction and it will at ease serve the physically challenged to move. Neither the electrical failure, nor the natural constrains like rain and wind will block their movements on the way.
