The lift is not supposed to be a huge one with something around 50” bridge ramp and the provision of folding the handrails should be there. While lifting the wheelchair by moving the handrails there remains a risk of falling back if the pressure exerted is not accurate. To avoid such circumstances a counterbalance adjustment is must. If all these facilities are available in the wheelchair lift then managing such small heights of a few steps can become easier for disabled students to climb on the stage. Even electric wheelchair lifts for school stages are available. But there are constrains like connections, plug points and wiring. In case of manual movement of the wheelchair lift, one can easily climb up the stage from any corner without much trouble. Performance by the disabled students With the introduction of the wheelchair lift in schools, no one was deprived from exposing his/her talent. The disabled kids who somehow had physical ailments in the lower part of the body could organize plays and stage them. Without any constrain or fear, they also can portray their talent. The wheelchair lift has become their support under all circumstances and being manual, neither weather nor electric current could become hindrance in any form. They too are good composers and performers. Why deprive them?
